"What should individuals do to address large-scale challenges?" Johannes Himmelreich

Johannes Himmelreich was a postdoctoral researcher at IRI THESys. He has studied Philosophy and Economics at the University of Bayreuth, and Philosophy and Public Policy at the London School of Economics, where he is finishing his doctorate in Philosophy.

Since 1 May 2015, Johannes Himmelreich was part of the IRI THESys research group “Economic and environmental ethics” led by Prof. Gabriel Wollner. He focused on ethics and agency in an interconnected world: We live in an interconnected world populated by group agents, including corporations, courts, states, and international organizations. Their actions have profound implications for pressing questions in global justice and climate change. What is the morality of group agents?
