Philippe Rufin was Research Associate at IR THESys. In 2014, he graduated in Physical Geography of Human Environment Systems at Humboldt University. Besides his studies he worked several years as student collaborator within the CarBioCial project, aiming at the development of sustainable land management strategies in the Brazilian Amazon region. Throughout his studies, he aimed at the development and application of remote sensing methods to monitor human-induced alterations of land systems.

Since May 2014, Philippe contributed to the ongoing research at IRI THESys through the implementation of analysis frameworks for remote sensing imagery and additional spatial information.
