Having been awarded the first Berlin State Prize for Excellence in Student Teaching in July, Josephine Lang and Lilli Johanna Schlünz are now featured in the Tagesspiegel for their teaching and supervision in the Studium Oecologicum. This year, the Tagesspiegel editorial team named them among the most influential figures in Berlin’s scientific community.
The Studium Oecologicum is a student-led project centered on sustainability, its diversity, and introducing students to new perspectives and empowering them to make a difference through active participation. The project is proving increasingly popular with students, as well as with participating guest speakers and project partners. StudOec provides a space for reflection, the development of ideas and new approaches, and demonstrates that education for sustainable development is both feasible and important, particularly within the context of university teaching.
