    DiviCiti Lecture by Timothy Moss

Conduits of Control: Energy Infrastructures in Divided Cities

    13 February 2024, 10.00-11.00
IRI THESys, Rudower Chaussee 12B, room 3.25, and online on Zoom

The DiviCiti project, funded by the  DFG between 2020 and 2023, studied how political division has influenced energy infrastructures and shaped energy strategies across the recent histories of Berlin, Jerusalem and Nicosia and what their experiences reveal about conflict and cooperation over urban energy in contested contexts. In this lecture, the Principal Investigator Prof. Timothy Moss will present the main findings for discussion.

The lecture will be followed by an internal part of the event, which will focus on how to write a DFG proposal and how to navigate the reality of a research project between proposal and results (full programme here).

Timothy Moss is a member of IRI THESys at HU Berlin and Honorary Professor of the Leibniz University Hannover. His research and teaching are distinctive for connecting historical studies of infrastructure with contemporary debates on sociotechnical and urban transitions.
