Rapid Games Design Climate Workshop with Prof. Bruce Lankford

Water Governance in Urban Areas in a Climate-Changing World

    05 March 2024, 10.00am - 3.00pm (CET)
HUB X, First Floor, Humboldt Forum, Schlossplatz 5, 10117 Berlin

In the workshop, the facilitator, Prof. Bruce Lankford (Professor of Water and Irrigation Policy, University of East Anglia, UK), will demonstrate an interactive Rapid Games Design format and will guide you through the process of leveraging game design as a creative (and fun) way to foster shared perspectives on complex issues.

This promises to be a highly engaging event, where we will explore the workshop theme in diverse ways, promoting extensive participant interaction and involvement. The opportunity to design your own game and observe the games of others in parallel sessions will ensure a rich interdisciplinary learning experience.

    Preparation

Participants will be expected to read some documents that would be distributed in advance. Although the workshop is self-standing, you may start to think about designing a game around climate action. To guide you, a key question to ponder is, 'What constitutes a win in your game? Who might emerge as winners, and what does winning look like?'
