
Based on their experiences and their joint reflections during the Postdoc Academy for Transformational Leadership the authors have developed a new and fresh perspective on transformational leadership. They emphasise a necessary shift from an understanding of leadership that focuses on individuals towards a collective and relational concept of leadership. The authors spell out the consequences for leadership that follow form co-production of knowledge that characterizes transformative and transdisciplinary research. In addition, they identify social learning and reflexivity as building blocks of an up to date conception of transformational leadership.
