Scientific Consultant / Data Scientist
José Donoso joined the IRI THESys in May 2023 to provide IT support during the final phase of the EdiCitNet project, and to develop machine learning methods for the analysis and modelling of land use change within the Rural Futures project. After graduating as an Electrical Engineer (Universidad de Chile), José obtained a MSc in Computational Neuroscience (University of Sheffield) and a PhD in Biology (Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin). His area of expertise lies in the analysis and modelling of complex networks, with a keen interest in the study of emergent properties in structurally coupled systems.
