Doctoral Researcher

Friedrich Busch is a doctoral researcher at the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research and the Geography Department of Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin.

His research applies Bayesian methods to crop phenology modelling, with a focus on the major crops grown in Germany. Central to his work are questions of uncertainty propagation and climate change impacts.

Friedrich holds degrees in Geoecology (B.Sc.) from the University of Potsdam and Global Change Geography (M.Sc.) from Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. Prior to his PhD, he worked as an environmental modeller focusing on the cryosphere in Central Asia.
