As a follow-up to the “Climate and Water under Change” project, IRI THESys Postdocs Márk Somogyvári and Desiree Hetzel have released the Touching Water podcast:
“A podcast about water and science. We explore how scientists from the natural and social sciences work with water, and how this is connected to our everyday lives.”
The Touching Water podcast delves into the diverse challenges and dynamics of water in a changing world. Across three episodes, geophysicist and geo-data scientist Márk Somogyvári and anthropologist Desiree Hetzel, together with invited guests, share their motivations for studying water and explore the extremes of water-related challenges – from urban flooding after heavy rainfall to the sudden onset of flash droughts.
